Antive 2-in-1 Electric Scissors & Rotary Electric Cardboard Cutter. One Tool, Two Better Ways to Cut
Updated: Sep 17

If you regularly cut cardboard, fabric, leather, felt, carpet, packaging, or craft materials, you have probably faced the same problem: the tool that works well for one material is not always the tool you want for another.
A rotary cardboard cutter electric tool can make quick work of long, straight cuts through tougher materials, but it may not give you the control you want for curves and detailed shapes. Traditional or powered scissors provide better maneuverability, but they are not always the fastest choice for breaking down boxes or making long straight cuts.
That is exactly why we developed the Antive 2-in-1 Electric Scissors & Rotary Cutter.
Instead of choosing between an electric cardboard cutter and cordless electric scissors, Antive combines both cutting styles in one rechargeable power tool with two interchangeable heads.
One Cordless Tool. Two Cutting Heads.
At the heart of the Antive Multi-Cutting Tool is a simple idea: use the right cutting head for the cut you need.
The system includes:
A scissors head for controlled curves, shapes, and detailed cutting
A rotary cutter head for faster, straighter cuts through tougher materials
The heads can be changed in approximately 2 seconds, allowing you to move from one type of project to another without reaching for a completely different tool.
Need to follow a pattern through fabric or felt? Attach the scissors head.
Breaking down cardboard boxes or making a long cut through carpet? Switch to the rotary head.
It turns one cordless cardboard cutting tool into a much more flexible cutting system.

Precise Curves or Fast Straight Cuts - Without the Usual Compromise
Different cutting jobs require different blade movements.
The Antive scissors head is designed for controlled cutting through materials such as fabric, felt, and soft leather, making it especially useful when following curves, trimming edges, or working around detailed shapes. It can handle fabric up to 8 mm thick.
For tougher and straighter jobs, switch to the rotary head. It can cut hard cardboard and carpet up to 3 mm thick and hard leather up to 4 mm thick.
This is what makes the 2-in-1 design different from a conventional cordless box cutter.
You are not asking one blade style to do everything.
Instead, you can choose the cutting action that better matches the material and the result you want.

A 180° Rotating Grip That Adapts to the Project
The cutting head is not the only part of the Antive tool that adapts.
Press the dedicated TURN button and the handle rotates 180°, allowing you to move between a pistol-style grip and a pen-style grip.
Why does that matter?
Because cutting across a workbench is different from cutting vertically through a large cardboard box. One fixed hand position can force your wrist into an uncomfortable angle as the direction of the cut changes.
With Antive, you can reposition the tool instead.
The pistol-style position works naturally for many horizontal cutting jobs, while the alternate position can provide better access and control when the material or cutting direction changes.
Rather than forcing your hand to adapt to the tool, the tool can adapt to the way you need to cut.

Up to 10,000 RPM for Powered Cutting
Manual scissors require the user to provide most of the cutting force. Antive uses a high-speed powered drive capable of up to 10,000 RPM, helping take repetitive cutting work out of your hands.
That makes the system useful for everything from occasional DIY projects to longer cutting sessions involving packaging, fabrics, crafts, and box breakdown.
Combined with up to 3 hours of runtime per charge, the cordless design gives you room to work without continually stopping to recharge.
When the battery eventually needs power, simply recharge through USB-C.
A USB-C charging cable is included with the set.
Not Sure Which Cutting Head to Use?
Having two cutting heads creates more possibilities—but it also creates a new question:
Which head should I use for this material?
Antive addresses that with the Guiding App, our cutting-guide app.
There is no account or sign-in required, and the app is free to use.
Take a photo of the material you want to cut, and the AI-assisted guide helps identify it and recommends the appropriate cutting head.
The idea is simple: less guessing before you start cutting.
Whether you are deciding how to approach cardboard, leather, carpet, fel,t or another supported material, CutIQ helps you choose between the scissors and rotary cutting systems.
Safety Without Making Every Cut Complicated
Power tools need protection against accidental starts, but safety controls should not make the tool frustrating to operate.
With Antive, press and hold the ON/OFF button for 2 seconds to activate the tool. Once activated, normal cutting is controlled with the trigger.
That means you do not have to continuously hold two buttons throughout the cutting process.
The deliberate startup sequence helps reduce accidental activation while keeping everyday operation straightforward.
After 5 minutes of inactivity, the tool automatically switches off, adding another layer of protection when the cutter is left unused.
This differs from some established electric cutters that rely on a safety switch used together with the trigger. WORX, for example, describes its ZipSnip as using a safety switch in conjunction with the trigger, while SnapFresh specifies a safety lock and dual-trigger start system.
How Is Antive Different From Conventional Electric Cardboard Cutters?
Many popular products in this category use a single rotary cutting system.
For example, the current WORX 4V ZipSnip uses a rotating blade and advertises cutting cardboard, fabric, plastic packaging, leather, and similar materials up to 1/4 inch thick. SnapFresh's 4V model similarly uses a rotary blade and advertises materials up to 1/4 inch thick.
Those tools can be useful electric cutters. The Antive concept is different.

One Electric Cutting Tool for Cardboard, Fabric and More
The Antive system can serve several roles depending on the head and material you choose.
It can function as a cordless electric box cutter for packaging and box breakdown, a cordless cardboard cutter for recycling and warehouse-style cutting jobs, an electric fabric cutter for textile projects, or powered scissors for detailed work.
Some common applications include:
Breaking down shipping and moving boxes
Cutting corrugated cardboard and packaging
Cutting fabric and felt
Trimming leather
Cutting carpet
DIY and craft projects
Upholstery work
Packaging and small-business operations
Recycling and household projects
For someone who regularly moves between different materials, that versatility can mean carrying one powered cutting system instead of purchasing separate specialized tools.

Is a 2-in-1 Electric Cutter Worth It?
If you only make one type of cut on one type of material, a basic single-head cutter may be enough.
But if your projects move between cardboard and fabric, straight cuts and curves, tougher materials and precision work, the limitations of one cutting system quickly become apparent.
That is where the Antive 2-in-1 makes sense.
You get the speed of an electric box cutter, the control of cordless electric scissors, two interchangeable cutting heads, a rotating grip, long cordless runtime, intelligent head guidance, and long-term product support, all built around one rechargeable tool.
One tool. Two cutting heads. More ways to get the cut right.
